Lou Qinjian, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and head of the Leading Group for Party Building of the Provincial Party Committee, stressed the importance of adhering to the guidance of Xi Jinping's socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, highlighting the problem orientation, strengthening the mission and responsibility, promote the implementation of the measures for party governance, and encourage party members and officials to be more consciously engaged in the endeavors for high-quality development. He made the remarks Tuesday at the meeting of the Leading Group for Party Building of the Provincial Party Committee.
Lou Qinjian pointed out that this year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China and is also a crucial year for building a high-level comprehensive well-off society, making it all the more important to promote party building this year.
He urged the province to grasp the key tasks set forth by the CPC Central Committee and the Provincial Party Committee, abide by the party's political discipline and political rules, improve the system of strengthening the party's overall leadership, strengthen supervision and inspection of the implementation of the central government’s decision-making, guide party members and officials to follow the right political direction, enhance political stance, and safeguard the authority and centralized, unified leadership of the Central Committee with Xi Jinping at the core.
The CPC Provincial Chief called for the province to adopt a more infectious form of education to study and implement Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics and fulfill its mission of responsibility in a more determined way, adhere to problem-oriented approach, improve work methods, strengthen system thinking, dialectical thinking, and bottom-line thinking, and strive to promote the high-quality development of party building in the province.
Lou Qinjian demanded that greater efforts should be made to treat both the symptoms and the root causes, improve the institutional mechanism as the fundamental way to solve the problem, adhere to the rules and regulations, maintain the authority of the system with strict punishment and accountability, and ensure that the problems are solved in a fundamental way.
He stressed that the leading group for party building of the provincial party committee should enhance scientific coordination, and all member units must earnestly strengthen work coordination and constantly create a new situation of party building in the province.
Present at the meeting were Jiang Zhuoqing and Guo Wenqi, both deputy director of the leading group for party building of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee.
