Wu Zhenglong, governor of Jiangsu province, met Monday in Nanjing with Hiroshi Ogasawara, President of Japan's Yaskawa Electric Corporation.
Wu Zhenglong extended his warm welcome to Mr. Ogasawara for his visit to Jiangsu, adding that as a world-class enterprise, Yaskawa Electric is a leader in the global robotics industry, especially in the field of industrial robots.
The cooperation between the two sides has yielded fruitful results since Yaskawa Electric's first overseas robot production base was launched in Changzhou, the governor said, adding that the president’s visit to Jiangsu reflects the confidence of Yaskawa Electric in the development of Jiangsu.
Wu said Jiangsu is embracing the best ever opportunities from the overlapping effects of the Belt and Road, the Yangtze River economic belt and the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta as national strategies.
Under the promotion of the leaders of the two countries, the Sino-Japanese relations have presented a new atmosphere, which has created better conditions for us to cooperate in more and wider fields, he said.
The governor hoped that Yaskawa Electric will take Jiangsu as an important development base to jointly promote the high-quality development of the robot industry.
He pledged that Jiangsu will continue to optimize the business environment, promote the development of industrial clusters, and ensure that Yaskawa Electric will have promising prospects in Changzhou and Jiangsu at large.
Ogasawara said that since Yaskawa Electric has received the support and care of all levels of government in Jiangsu since its settlement in Changzhou.
He pledged that Yaskawa Electric will have firm confidence, continue to deepen its pragmatic cooperation with Jiangsu, and seek better development in sync with the supporting enterprises of the robot industry chain.
The Yaskawa Electric Corporation is a Japanese manufacturer of servos, motion controllers, AC motor drives, switches and industrial robots. Its Motoman robots are heavy duty industrial robots used in welding, packaging, assembly, coating, cutting, material handling and general automation.
