East China’s Jiangsu province has taken the initiative to reform the management service for big data sharing in order to break the information island and promote online approval, according to the Action Plan for Accelerating Information Sharing and Application formulated and released by the provincial big data management center.

In order to improve the efficiency of examination and approval and realize information sharing, the Action Plan has formulated 13 policy measures in four aspects in a bid to further promote online approval by constructing a unified data sharing and exchange system across the province and promoting reform and application of public data.

The most concerned is the preparation of a list of information sharing responsibility for online approval items with the contents of departmental responsibilities, information names, data items, and data providing methods clearly defined in the form of a list to promote the conscious sharing of information by various departments.

According to the plan, the first list of information sharing responsibilities will be formulated within this year.

At present, the trunk artery of government data sharing in the province is basically unblocked to have been connected to 55 of the 65 provincial-level departmental units and 13 prefectural cities. The first batch of shared information interfaces of the state ministries and commissions have also been landed in Jiangsu.

The Action Plan further proposes to speed up the opening of business environment data and use data analysis to improve market supervision.

The province will also encourage and guide enterprises to voluntarily publicize more production and operation data, sales logistics data, etc., so as to strengthen post-event supervision of market entities, promote fair competition in the market, and further optimize the development environment.
