East China’s Jiangsu province has made steady progress in transportation infrastructure construction since the start of this year, as is evidenced by the major breakthroughs in the construction of the express highway in the south of Suzhou, Wuxi and Changzhou and the Wufengshan Yangtze River Bridge in Zhenjiang.
The Taihu Tunnel on the southern expressway of Suzhou, Wuxi and Changzhou is 10.79 kilometers long. It is the longest and widest lake tunnel project under construction in China.
The roof support poured with concrete on Saturday is located in the middle buried section of the lake. The concrete construction method of pouring the main body wall and roof of the tunnel is adopted. The pouring lasted about 30 hours.
For the first time, a set of large-scale tooling equipment was used for the pouring construction tailored for the Taihu Lake tunnel-tunnel automatic hydraulic steel model trolley.
The trolley relies on the hydraulic system to make movements, effectively shortening the concrete pouring cycle with one cycle improving the work efficiency by 5 days.
The equipment is expected to be brought into full play in the next stage of tunnel excavation in pouring construction of shallow arch, middle arch, and deep arch.
After more than 20 hours of continuous operation, the concrete pouring of the 35th water pier of the Mangdao River Bridge was completed in the Wufengshan cross-river passage highway connection project.
The five water pier caps of the Mangdao River Bridge have been successfully poured, laying a solid foundation for all the piers to be surfaced over water before the flood season in May.
The 1.975-kilometer-long Mangdao River Bridge is a key control project for the Wufengshan River Crossing Highway Highway Connection Project. The main pier in the water is constructed with 36 m steel sheet pile cofferdam. The maximum excavation depth is 25 meters, making it the foundation of the deepest steel sheet pile cofferdam in China.
The construction team adopted high-definition camera underwater exploration, remote monitoring and monitoring technology to control the force of the steel sheet pile to ensure the quality and safety of the project.
