The Provincial Taxation Bureau has recently launched the Action Plan for Further Facilitate Taxation Formalities in a bid to accelerate the creation of the simplest, fastest and most optimal tax environment and ensure that Jiangsu ranks foremost in the country in terms of high-quality taxation business environment.
As the first region in the country to carry out the pilot business of taxation business environment, Jiangsu has taken the lead in the country to set up a “package-style” tax payment system by consolidating 33 common tax-related businesses into 6 online package by requiring the taxpayers to fill out a form before going through the formalities with one visit only.
1.5 million taxpayers have enjoyed this service, and the cost of taxes saved exceeds 100 million yuan. At present, more than 90% of tax-related matters in the province can be handled online.
The action plan also proposed 16 reform measures to accelerate the facilitation of tax payment through the promotion of online tax coverage by making it feasible to facilitate taxpayer invoice processing, reform tax cancellation and migration procedures, expand more tax channels, and streamline taxation document filing.
The plan also clarifies that it is necessary to further explore the "differential" management of taxpayers with different credit ratings, deepen the "tax and finance interaction", increase the number of financial supply institutions for tax and credit products, standardize various types of tax inspections for administrative violations, and reduce repeated procedures for household visit, promote inter-system at all levels and internal and external data integration so as to build a more fair, just and intelligent taxation environment.
