East China’s Jiangsu province will step up efforts for employment growth through a slew of incentive measures such as the employment of needy people, the optimization of the business environment, and the promotion of entrepreneurship plan according to the government work report delivered by Governor Wu Zhenglong at the opening ceremony of the annual session of the Provincial People’s Congress.
Optimizing the business environment is an important part of stabilizing employment, promoting entrepreneurship and keeping a tight rein on unemployment. In 2019, Jiangsu will take drastic steps to optimize the business environment and build a seamless docking platform for corporate recruitment. Li Yong, a deputy to the People's Congress of Jiangsu Province, and mayor of Quanshan District of Xuzhou city, was quoted as saying that only by optimizing the business environment can the private economy be more energetic and will provide more employment opportunities.
The optimization of the business environment can also promote the implementation of the National Entrepreneurship Program and the Vocational Skills Improvement Program to further promote employment. In addition, the provincial government work report mentioned that in 2019, Jiangsu will focus on the employment of key groups such as college graduates. In this regard, colleges and universities in the province have pledged to take various measures to steadily increase the employment rate of college students.
Chen Jian, deputy director of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, was quoted as saying that in 2019, the relevant departments of the province will step up their efforts for employment through a slew of promotional measures.
