Over 100 Peking Opera fans and tourists gathered in Taizhou City on January 1 for a show to celebrate the New Year, organized mainly by the city’s Mei Lanfang Memorial Hall.
The fans were from Jiangdong Peking Opera Troupe in Nantong City, Tianning Peking Opera Troupe in Changzhou City, as well as the memorial hall dedicated to the famous Peking Opera artist Mei Lanfang (1894-1961).
