East China’s Jiangsu province launched an aggressive talent hunt program on December 29th in Beijing through job fairs and consultations in a bid to lure high level talents, venture capital and innovative projects.
208 employers from Jiangsu, including key universities, research institutes, famous enterprises and listed companies, offered a total of 2,583 jobs, covering education, scientific research, Internet, medical, financial, electric power, advanced manufacturing and other industries.
The number of vacancies totaled around 10,000 but a master’s degree and above is a prerequisite for more than 80% of the jobs.
The annual salaries offered vary from 150,000 yuan to 300,000 yuan. Some listed companies offered an annual salary of 1 million yuan for the position of R&D chief.
Many employers offered talent apartments, annual annuities, paid leave, training, promotion and other career development opportunities.
More than 2000 college graduates from Beijing showed up for the job fair. 4256 CVs were submitted. 82 of the job seekers signed labor contract on the spot. 671 of them reached employment intention. Nearly 95% of them hold master or doctoral degrees, a strong indication that more and more talents are opting to carve out their career path in Jiangsu.
The talent financial activity in the afternoon saw 8 project roadshows, written display of 100 projects and the signing of 15 talent financial contracts. At the promotion meeting, 85 projects of cooperation were reached on site, including joint construction of academician workstations, mass innovation and entrepreneurship practice bases, industry-university-research cooperation projects, etc.
