The Standing Members of the CPC Provincial Committee went on an inspection tour to Nanjing on Monday. Lou Qinjian, Provincial Party Secretary, presided over a symposium during the inspection. Wu Zhenglong, deputy secretary of the provincial party committee and governor, and Huang Lixin, chairwoman of the provincial CPPCC, joined in the inspection.
The meeting stressed that Nanjing should thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, better grasp new requirements in the new era, and promote Nanjing's development from the intersection of history, reality and future, and adhere to problem-oriented approaches, systematic thinking and innovative thoughts so as to improve the city's development and ensure that the city rank foremost in the province’s promotion of high-quality development.
The standing members of the Provincial Party Committee visited Jianye District, Jiangbei New Area and Pukou District to be briefed on the development, the planning and construction of transportation infrastructure of Nanjing High-tech Zone and inspected the construction, operation and development of science and technology projects and science and technology carrier platforms.
The standing members of the Provincial Party Committee were briefed by the Nanjing Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government on the city’seconomic and social development and discussed the key issues supporting Nanjing's development.
They gave the thumbs up to the achievements made in all aspects of work, adding that in recent years, Nanjing has implemented the central government's policy, and promoted various tasks in accordance with the decision-making of the provincial party committee so as to maintain stable economic development, gain progress in the promotion of an innovative city and carried out the reform of key areas in an orderly manner, making important contributions to the overall development of the province.
To study and promote Nanjing's development at a new starting point, we must strengthen goal orientation, problem orientation, and effect orientation, highlight work priorities, and implement new development concepts into all work, the standing members said.
They urged for effective improvement of the systemic, international, and symbolic urban planning by highlighting the integrity of urban construction and development, focusing on coordination with neighboring regions, give full play to the integration with the planning of the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, and strive to build a modern city with international influence.
