The government of Jiangsu Province officially issued Suggestions of Facilitating a High-quality Development of Bio-pharmaceutical Industry Monday, which includes 12 specific tasks of 4 aspects that are relevant to the innovative development of bio-pharmaceutical industry. Tuesday morning, the government held a press conference to answer questions.
By 2020, the output value of total target bio-pharmaceutical industries in Jiangsu Province will grow more than 600 billion yuan.
The industrial structure will be further optimized, which will result in the significantly increasing proportion of the output value of innovative drugs and advanced medical equipment. The innovative development of bio-medicine and modern Chinese medicine will be furthered, and the scale of sub-industries of small molecule drugs, medical equipment and so on will maintain the first across the country.
The regional distribution will be improved, so that the industrial agglomeration will be more remarkable. Innovative bio-pharmaceutical industry clusters will be made in some cities such as Nanjing, Suzhou, Taizhou and Lianyungang, aiming to the output goal of hundreds of billions yuan. The innovation capability will be improved further. A group of leading innovative enterprises owning international competitiveness in the world will be much stronger. The research and development of a batch of innovative drugs and medical apparatuses will be realized. The quality consistency evaluation of the generic drugs will go ahead. The leading enterprises which produce more than 10 billion yuan per year will be fostered, including one enterprise with revenue over 100 billion yuan, two enterprises over 20 billion, five enterprises around 10 billion. The perfection of health-care innovation system will be achieved more. The outline of new-drugs creation meeting the international standards will be made initially. The service internet of the discovery and operation of biological medicine will be set. Investment and financing system of biopharmaceutical industry, which is in line with international practice, will be built. A new setup in which the advanced talents promote the high quality of relevant industries will come into being.
