China’s railway authority has started to sell train tickets for the New Year’s Day, a public holiday that is made longer by having two additional days on leave. Passengers can book their train tickets by making phone calls or visiting websites. As is the usual case, tickets for destinations in Shanghai, Zhejiang, Anhui and Jiangsu will fall short of supply. Most people will be traveling to make vacations or visit relatives and friends. The flow of college students will peak around mid-January to last over ten days, railway sources said. Discount tickets for college students will be available from December 1st to March 31 next year.
