A government delegation from southwest China’s Guizhou Province visited Jiangsu province on Tuesday to attend a symposium on poverty alleviation cooperation that was held in Suzhou city.
Shen Yiqin, Deputy Secretary of Guizhou Provincial Party Committee and Governor, addressed the symposium.
Entrusted by the provincial party secretary Lou Qinjian and the governor Wu Zhenglong, Zhou Naixiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and secretary of the Suzhou Municipal Party Committee, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech.
On behalf of the Guizhou Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Government and Secretary Sun Zhigang, Shen Yiqin expressed her sincere gratitude and respect to the long-term assistance from Jiangsu Province and Suzhou City.
She said that for a long time, Jiangsu Province and Suzhou City have followed General Secretary Xi Jinping’s major decision-making arrangements on poverty alleviation cooperation between the east and the west and make it an important political task to help Tongren city of Guizhou in its poverty alleviation campaign.
Shen said Guizhou will further strengthen its cooperation with Jiangsu Province and Suzhou City to ensure that the province will win the fight against poverty, and that the Provincial Party Committee will live up to the expectations of the Party Central Committee and the profound friendship of the people of Jiangsu and Suzhou.
Zhou Naixiang extended his warm welcome to the government delegation of Guizhou Province, adding that Suzhou and Tongren have interacted and cooperated closely and achieved complementary and mutually beneficial development since the two sides were paired for poverty alleviation.
