  Wu Zhenglong, governor of Jiangsu, attended the activities of the Jiangsu delegation at the China International Import Expo or CIIE, the world's first import-themed national expo.

  Wu met with Mongolian Minister of Mining and Heavy Industry Sumiya Bazar and other guests.

  Miao Wei,Minister of Industry and Information Technology, attended the International Forum on Intelligent Technology and Industry Cooperation.

  Miao Wei said that at present, artificial intelligence technology is developing rapidly and China is willing to work with all countries to carry out multi-level exchanges and cooperation, create a new ecology for the development of intelligent industries, build a new space for digital economy, and build a new order for the development of theartificial intelligent technology so as to let artificial intelligence better benefit the mankind.

  Wu Zhenglong said that it is a matter of significance to explore the international cooperation between smart technology and industry around the theme of "Creating a New Smart Ecology and Sharing a New Era of Intelligence".

  President Xi Jinping’s keynote speech at the opening ceremony fully demonstrated the mutual benefit and win-win cooperation between China and the world, and demonstrated the firm determination of China’s reforms in the new era without stopping and opening up, and pointed out the direction for promoting open cooperation and realizing shared development, the governor said.

  He said in the new era, Jiangsu will deepen its practice of new ideas, accelerate the digitalization, networking and intelligent upgrading of manufacturing at a higher level of openness, and strive to promote high-quality development in the forefront and accelerate the construction of new Jiangsu.

  He said President Xi’s announcement that the central government will support the regional integration development of the Yangtze River Delta and upgrade to a national strategy will provide a broad space for Jiangsu to further promote and deepen reform and higher level of opening up at a higher starting point.

  On Tuesday evening, Wu attended Jiangsu Open Innovation and Development International Consultation Conference and was briefed by CEOs of multinationals.

  He expressed his gratitude to the multinationals for their long-term support to the provinces development.

  He said this year marks the 40th anniversary of Chinas reform and opening up, adding that Jiangsu is standing at a new starting point and an important juncture for transformation and upgrading.

  Under the guidance of Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, Jiangsu will focus on building a modern economic system, accelerating the transformation of developmental kinetic energy, promoting regional coordinated development, and continuously enhancing the sense of gain, happiness and security for the people, the governor said.

  He also pledged that Jiangsu will unswervingly deepen reform and opening up, focus on building a new highland, continue to optimize the business environment, and work together to promote the Belt and Road initiative for the expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation.

  Wu Zhenlong also visited the national comprehensive exhibition area and the booths of some enterprises, witnessed the signing of the projects, met with Park Sung-wook, vice president of the South Korean SK Group, and Craig Allen, president of the US-China Trade National Committee.
