Yang Yue, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and director of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee’s United Front Work Department, met with a delegation of the Japan-China Friendship Technical Exchange Association and the Japan-China Friendship Association of Kitakata City in Nanjing on November 4.
The delegation was the first Japanese friendship group to visit Jiangsu following the recent meeting of the Chinese and Japanese leaders.
Japan-China Friendship Technical Exchange Association, founded in 1994, is committed to helping promote the exchange of technical personnel between Japan and China, the greening initiatives in China, and the friendship between urban and rural towns in two countries. The association has been accepting and training a large number of participants from northeast China, Hubei, Beijing and other regions, actively assisting Suqian City and Kitakata to enter intothe sister city relationship.
Since the establishment, the Japan-China Friendship Association of Kitakata City has also contributed a lot to increase the understanding of China among the Japanese people, especially the younger generation, too.
As of the end of June this year, Japan had made investment in 8,569 projects in Jiangsu, with the amount of agreed investment amount at $42.851 billion.
