47800 people in Jiangsu will sit for the National Public Servant Exam on December 2 to fill 408 positions, sources said on Wednesday.
80% of the applicants will compete for the positions offered by taxation, statistics and banking regulatory commission. The accounting position offered by China Second Archives is to be contested by 1628 applicants.
The written exam is being held on Dec 10, and the results will be announced in January 2018, along with a list of candidates to advance to interviews in March.
The number of positions to be offered next year is expected to decline next year due to the institutional reform at the grassroots level.
Civil servant jobs are sought after by many Chinese as they offer a relatively stable career, making the exam one of the most competitive tests in the country.
