More than 120 local business people participated in the Trade Cooperation Promotion Conference by Changshu Garments Town in Dubai on October 15.
The trade between Changshu and UAE reached $402 million in 2017, including export at $383 million and import at $19 million.
Changshu Garments Town has exported textile and clothing products worth of $230 million to Dubai, over $1 billion to regions in the Middle East and North Africa.
Changshu Garments Town, China's largest apparel trading market, is also home to a pilot program for national market procurement and an important part of the cross-border e-commerce pilot zone. It plans to build into a textile and apparel procurement platform for market in countries along the “Belt and Road”.
