The 2018 International Sensor and Internet of Things Industry Summit was held in Xuzhou from Oct. 16 to 17.
Experts, industry organizations from home and abroad and renowned entrepreneurs participated in the event, and shared their opinions and suggestions on various topics, such as the trend of sensor industry development and the development of the industrial ecology and industrial cluster.
A sensor is the key component of an automated intelligent device and the IoT tool for information collection. It is also the foundation and core for the development of intelligent manufacturing. The sensor industry is in the golden age of rapid development, and the size of global sensor market is expected to reach trillions of dollars by 2025.
A sensor industry park and a sensor industry fund were also launched at the summit. Xuzhou has entered into a new stage of sensor and IoT industry development with integrated development, better environment and accelerated industrial agglomeration.
Xuzhou National Hi-tech Industrial Zone is a key regional industrial sci-tech innovation center and a modern industrial manufacturing base in Jiangsu province. It boasts room for sound industrial development and a solid foundation for industrial development.
The zone has a complete industrial system and a modern industrial system featuring safety industry. The main sectors are high-end equipment, electronic information, automobiles and core components, and the main development direction focuses on ICT, new materials, new medicines and new energy.
It plans to form a complete sensor industry chain encompassing the design, manufacturing, packaging and testing, and system integration by 2020. It aims to make breakthroughs in key technologies in sensor and IoT application, and realizes an industrial output of 10 billion yuan.
