Nanjing South New City Medical Center won the best Building Information Modelling (BIM) award for medical project at the Autodesk Hong Kong BIM Awards 2018 on Oct 15. It’s the first Nanjing project to win this international award.
Following the concept of smart and ecological development, the medical center is rated as a Three-Star Green Building, the top rank under the Chinese green building ranking system. The design and construction innovatively adopt a multitude of cutting-edge technologies in construction, operation and maintenance, including the pioneering “medical street” concept and BIM approach.
The medical center, an important public service project in the Southern New City, occupies a land area of about 6 hectares and has a floor area of more than 310,000 square meters. The center contains diversified facilities, including an outpatient building, emergency building, medical technology building, ward building, scientific research and administrative building, and underground parking lot. The comprehensive tertiary A-level hospital has 1,500 beds, and is expected to be put into operation by the end of this year.
