2018 Changzhou West Taihu Marathon Event Director Wang Lei told reporters: "before the festival, The China Society sent an international surveyor to measure the whole track and give a very high evaluation, the track is very flat and the scenery is very beautiful. In view of the racecourse, we have marked every kilometer in detail, and the relevant work has been carried out orderly, such as the location of the supply station and the location of the performance.
More than 23,000 people have signed up for the West Lake Marathon, including athletes from France, the United States, Kenya and other countries and regions. These contestants will experience the customs of Changzhou City on what is known as the "most beautiful track in China Marathon".
On the day of the match, 1,300 volunteers will be available, more than 500 securities will maintain order on the spot and ensure the safety of the event, a professional medical team being on call. In addition, temporary control will be imposed on the track and the surrounding roads to prevent the traffic.
