About 200 youth representatives from Jiangsu, Hong Kong and Macao attended the 8th Jiangsu-Hong Kong- Macao Youth Elite Forum that was held in Hong Kong on Monday.
Guo Wenqi, member of the Standing Committee of Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and head of the Organization Department, attended the event and delivered a speech. Mrs Carrie Lam, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, and Tang Yingnian, Chairman of the Hong Kong Jiangsu Society Association, sent video messages to the forum.
Guo said in his speech that at present, Jiangsu is in the critical period of promoting high-quality development in the forefront of the country. Hong Kong and Macao are also at an important stage of economic transformation and the new journey calls for new roles and new actions, especially for the young people.
He called on the young people to strengthen exchanges, go hand in hand, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win through open cooperation.
At the forum, the governments of Jiangsu and Hong Kong jointly launched the Jiangsu-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base Project that will be based in Nanjing Jiangbei New Area.
Jiangsu has issued ten policies to support the construction of the Jiangsu-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base Project.
The Jiangsu Youth Federation and the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups signed a memorandum of cooperation to promote the establishment of Hong Kong's outstanding youth entrepreneurship projects in Jiangsu.
