Lou Qinjian, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, met Friday in Nanjing with Wang Chuanfu, Chairman and President of BYD Co., Ltd.
Lou Qinjian extended his warm welcome to Wang Chuanfu’s visit to Jiangsu and congratulated BYD on its positive progress in the investment cooperation project in Jiangsu.
He said that under the guidance of Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, Jiangsu is striving to promote high-quality development and there are rare opportunities for short-term transportation infrastructure, increasing environmental protection, building a modern integrated transportation system, and creating better conditions for development so as to accelerate the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, vigorously develop strategic emerging industries, and build a self-controllable modern industrial system.
He hoped that BYD will have more layout, greater investment and better development in Jiangsu in the fields of rail transit and new energy vehicles, especially in the planning and construction of comprehensive transportation system based on deepening cooperation with Huai'an city so as to make demonstration and lead the industry.
After introducing the development plan of the enterprise and the progress of the Huai'an project, Wang Chuanfu said that Jiangsu has a good economic foundation, obvious location advantages, and abundant resources for science and education. BYD will enhance its cooperation with Jiangsu and make positive contributions to the province’s high-quality development.
