Since coming to Nanjing last September from Ya’an County, Sichuan Province, the lovely panda twins have taken the best spot in Nanjing Panda House, not only because of their good look, but also because of their vigorous personality. Now they are becoming the new idols in Nanjing Hongshan Forest Zoo.
Today, the twins are expecting their 3 years old birthday. Their weights soared this year in Nanjing. Now, Hehe weights 91 kg and Jiujiu weights 87 kg, comparing to 71 and 68 respectfully a year ago. According to the zoo-keeper, the biggest change on them is that they both become fatter. At first Jiujiu had a pointy chin, but now they all have round faces.

Jiujiu, the younger sister of the twins, is naughtier. She likes climbing trees and refuses to come back home while playing. If you call her back, she will get upset and make angry noises, said the zoo-keeper.
Comparing with her, Hehe is more peaceful. When the two are eating and playing together, Hehe tends to look after her younger sister. In terms of study, now the smart twins both know the procedure of weighing, taking temperature, and taking blood test and be cooperative.
To make their 3-year-old birthday special, Nanjing Hongshan Forest Zoo carefully planned a birthday party for the twins. Some panda fans, as well as 15 families are invited to celebrate their birthday with them. As hosts, Panda fans decorated the Panda House, made birthday cakes and gifts, and sang birthday songs. They also arranged a bazaar selling special panda gifts and taking excellent pictures for the visitors.
