More than 800 athletes from 20 provinces and cities and 97 teams from Beijing, Henan and Zhejiang participated in the 19th National Middle School Table Tennis Championships that kicked off at the China Table Tennis Tongzhou Training Base. The competition is divided into junior high school and high school. In 8 competition days, there will be 7 competitions for men's team, women's team, men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles, and mixed doubles. The National Middle School Table Tennis Championship is the highest level of table tennis competition in the middle school students' sports competitions. It has selected a large number of outstanding athletes for the provincial and municipal excellent sports teams and even the national team. Among them are Zhu Guankai of the national table tennis men’s team I, Xiang Peng of the national table tennis men’s team II and Chen Hao of the national table tennis women’s team II.
