East China’s Jiangsu province held a variety of activities to mark the annual session of the Army Day which falls on August 1st.
On the eve of the Army Day, Nanjing launched its first national defense education theme station at the Gangzicun Station of Nanjing Metro Line 4.
The museum’s nearly 50-meter-long national defense theme exhibition is displayed in a concentrated manner through rich pictures and video images to highlight the glorious course of the 91 years that the People’s Army has gone through.
Many visitors said that they took great pride in the motherland’s prosperity and the power of national defense.
Some volunteers in Yangzhong City visited the barracks to present the soldiers with dishes of Yangzhong folk flavor, allowing the soldiers to taste the local delicacies.
More than 30 volunteers from Lishui County also made dumplings and staged performances with the soldiers to celebrate the festival.
The Xuyi County Library sent 300 volumes of scientific, political, and legal books to the barracks, allowing the servicemen to experience the pleasure of reading in their spare time.
CPC members of some enterprises in Zhenjiang City also visited the barracks to experience the life of military camp by watching the tactical action demonstrations, party members' team training, and visiting the military history exhibition hall.
Hospitals in Taizhou and other places conducted free medical examinations for reservists, veterans and military personnel.
