Over 40 Chinese Canadians came to Huai’an on July 23rd and started their one-week summer camp of “Embrace China” in Huai’an Jiangsu.

It’s the first time for Huai’an to form ties with the "Embrace China” Summer Camp

It’s said that although Jiangsu Federation of overseas Chinese has undertaken “Embrace China” Summer Camp for 5 years, it’s the first time for the camp coming to Huai’an. When talking about forming ties with Huai’an, Ms.Wang Manxia, the leading teacher of this year’s summer camp and the president of Chinese Language Association of British Columbia in Canada, said that “2018 is the 120 anniversary of the birth of Premier Zhou Enlai. It’s a call of all the principals of Canadian Chinese schools that this year’s summer camp must be held in Huai’an. It not only has the Zhou Enlai Memorial Hall, but also carries a cultural background of over 2000 years. It’s enough for children to see and learn.”

It’s been years since the start of ‘Embrace China’ summer camp, hosting by the Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese. The purpose of the summer camp is to deepen the understanding of homeland for the overseas Chinese teenagers and give them more opportunities to feel the unique power of Chinese culture.
