Professor Michael Rosbash, the 2017 Nobel Prize laureate in Physiology or Medicine, gave a lecture Wednesday on the Nobel Process of Biological Research at the People's Hospital of Jiangsu Province. He was also appointed the hospital’s first Nobel Prize-winning professor.

The joining of top international experts will further accelerate the docking of the hospital with the world's cutting-edge technology, enhance the hospital's innovative ability and overall strength, and ultimately benefit patients.

Michael Rosbach is an American geneticist and a time biologist. He uses Drosophila as a test object to find genes that control the daily biological rhythm of Drosophila, which explains the internal workings of the circadian clock, and explains how plants, animals, and humans adapt to day and night changes.

In October 2017, he and two other scientists won the Nobel Prize for their research on the molecular mechanism of biological circadian rhythm regulation.
