"wow! It’s amazing!" More than 130 international friends from over 30 countries gathered at the Imperial Examination Hall of China in Nanjing Wednesday afternoon.
In order to tell the world the story of Qinhuai and further enhance the fame, reputation and influence of Nanjing, Dr. He Yong, Head of the United Nations Training Program in China (former Head of the Chinese Language Group), led a study tour to China and a group of Chinese language teachers from the United States into the Qinhuai District of Nanjing City.
In June 2018, the permanent exhibition of Nanjing China Imperial Examination Museum - "Ladder of Civilization — Special Exhibition of Imperial Examination Culture", won the second place. The Imperial Examination Museum has only been opened for more than a year now. It has won the second spot in the National Museum of Art and History.
In the course of their visit, Dr. He Yong also introduced to his international friends: "Qinhuai is a very important place for Chinese poetry, Chinese painting and calligraphy, and Chinese imperial examination. I hope that you can take Qinhuai back to the United Nations to introduce them to your colleagues and friends!"
In October this year, the annual "Nanjing Week" will also come to Paris, France, and enter UNESCO headquarters, during which the "Qinhuai Day" will be arranged. There will also be many other interactions among the historical sites of the two cities.
