Since this March, Hellobike launched a deposit-free service nationwide. On June 11, Mobike also announced to launch the deposit-free service to old and new users all over the country. Today, Mobike announced that Nanjing users can ride bikes without paying deposits.
Except Nanjing, other 18 cities also involved in the deposit-free service, including Tianjin, Wuhan, Jinan, Zhengzhou, Changsha, Shenyang, Shijiazhuang, Fuzhou, Nanchang, Nanning, Yinchuan, Lanzhou, Foshan, Wenzhou, Zhuhai, Deyang, Ningbo and Jinhua. So far, half of the cities in which Mobike operates can provide deposit-free riding services.
The “deposit-free riding service” promoted by Mobike not only brings better riding experiences to users, it is also a new attempt for the “deposit-free without credit scores” practice, which means the sharing economy has reached a turning point to exempt deposits.
The deposit-free service promoted by Mobike has no restrictions; anyone can use bikes after registration and real-name certification. For the old users who had already paid the deposit, Mobike can return 299 yuan immediately.

The old users can open Mobike’s Application first, find “my wallet” page, and then click the “check” button on the bottom right of the page, finally find the “get back my deposit” option to apply. Once receiving the application, Mobike will deal with it timely; the deposit will return to the original payment account within 2-7 workdays, users can ride bikes as usual afterwards.
The editor tried the service personally this morning, after submitting the application, the system immediately showed that the deposit had already returned to the original payment account.
Mobike said that after launching the deposit-free service, the company will strengthen the implementation of intelligent and refined operations and management, thereby standardize and guide users to ride in civilized manners.
