An economic and trade exchange delegation from northeast China’s Jilin Province visited Jiangsu Sunday and Monday. Lou Qinjian, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, met with Jing Junhai, governor of Jilin Province.
Governor Wu Zhenglong attended the symposium on economic and social development between the two provinces and signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Jing Junhai on behalf of the two provincial governments.
During the meeting, Lou Qinjian expressed his warm welcome to the Jilin Provincial Economic and Trade Exchange Delegation for its visit to Jiangsu.
He said that Jiangsu is now carrying out a series of important directives made by General Secretary Xi Jinping on the work of Jiangsu in accordance with the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era.
By implementing new development concepts, Jiangsu is meant to accelerate the construction of new Jiangsu and ensure that its high quality development rank among the best in the country by promoting exploration and innovation and building a well-off society in an all-round way, the CPC provincial chief said.
Jiangsu will conscientiously implement the decision-making and deployment of the Central Government and further strengthen its cooperation with Jilin, Lou said, adding that Jiangsu and Jilin will support and promote each other in key areas, realize complementary advantages for mutual development, and go hand in hand in the new era and the new journey to make greater contributions to the overall development of the country.
Wu Zhenglong hoped that under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, the two provinces will promote exchanges and cooperation between the two sides and jointly write a new chapter of high quality and development in the new era.
Jing Junhai expressed his gratitude to Jiangsu for its long-term concern and support for the development of Jilin. He hoped that the two sides will seize the strategic opportunity, achieve mutual complementarities and mutual benefit, and promote the healthy economic and social development for the two provinces.
At the symposium, the two provincial government departments and some new districts signed 13 cooperation agreements. During the visit in Jiangsu, the delegation visited Suning Holding Group, Xiansheng Pharmaceutical, Provincial Industrial Technology Research Institute, Lianchuang Technology Group, and Sunpower Group. The Jilin delegation also held a tourism industry promotion fair and a forum for leading entrepreneurs from the two provinces.
