Lou Qinjian, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, met Friday in Nanjing with Chey Tae-won, chairman of the South Korean SK Group.
Lou Qinjian expressed his warm welcome to Chey Tae-won's visit to Jiangsu and his congratulations on the development and expansion of SK Hynix Semiconductor Plant in Wuxi.
He said that Jiangsu will give firm support to SK Hynix Semiconductor for its growth, adding that Jiangsu is hoping to conduct in-depth cooperation in more fields with SK to strengthen strategic research, explore cooperation models, advance cooperation processes, and work together for higher quality development.
Chey Tae-won stated that SK Group will develop pragmatic cooperation in the fields of new energy batteries, medical services, and investment based on the semiconductor project that is growing bigger and stronger.
During the meeting, the two sides decided to jointly establish a strategic research group to advance related issues as soon as possible.
