The world’s largest UHV AC substation the two main transformer systems of the Dongwu Substation expansion project were formally put into operation. The Dongwu Substation is one of the hub substations of the Huai’an-Nanjing-Shanghai 1000kv UHV AC transmission project. The operation of the two main transformer systems has doubled the substation's capacity and improved the power supply reliability of the East China Power Grid.
