The link-up project of the Huangucheng River and Jinji Lake will begin to build the Loujiang River tour route on the northern side of the lake soon.
The water tour route will start from the Huangucheng River dike to the Fenghuang River in Suzhou Industrial Park.
The tour route project includes construction of six sightseeing bridges and renovation of landscape and some parts of the revetment, said Huang Jie, director of the tour route project.
The 11-kilometer tour route will start from Suzhou Railway Station Square, going through the Huangucheng River, Waitang River, Loujiang River, Fenghuang River, Jinji Lake to reach the Moonlight Dock or Wanghu Lake Pavilion.
A whole journey along the water tour route takes about 45 to 50 minutes at the speed of 16 to 18 kilometers per hour.
