The State Administration for Market Regulation, China Central Television and China Council for Brand Development jointly launched the 2018 China Brands Evaluation in Shanghai, on May 9.
The event announced the top 100 regional brands (products with geographical indication), with Xuyi County’s crayfish ranked 22nd and also first in the aquatic products category.
In recent years, Xuyi has transformed the traditional crayfish aquaculture to make it intelligent through the application of Big Data, Internet of Things and cloud computing, unified the quantity and quality control, upgraded the industry, and turned the county’s crayfish into a national brand and high-end product for export.
Xuyi also introduced projects such as Crayfish Town and Jincheng Crayfish and Rice Farming Park into the county, further developing the crayfish industry to incorporate art and culture exchange, leisure experience and tourism.
