Hu Chunhua, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice premier of the State Council, went on an investigation tour in Jiangsu Tuesday and Wednesday.

Hu Chunhua visited science and technology, energy, information electronics, and machinery enterprises in Suzhou, Wuxi, and Changzhou where he made careful inquiry into the enterprises’ production and operation, technological progress, as well as the problems and difficulties encountered by the companies.
In the Comprehensive Bonded Area of Suzhou Industrial Park and the Comprehensive Bonded Area of Wuxi Hi-tech Zone, Hu Chunhua inspected the industrial layout, bonded supervision, and customs clearance efficiency, emphasizing that the customs system should take the opportunity of reform of state institutions to speed up the integration of inspections, optimize business processes, increase the efficiency of customs clearance, and strive to achieve the goal of reducing the time spent on customs clearance by 1/3 this year.
Hu Chunhua visited the Changzhou City human resources market to investigate local labor training, employment, and labor market services. He demanded that more labor training be conducted, more modern information methods be used, and labor supply and demand be effectively docked so that every enterprise would be able to find the targeted talents and each worker can find a satisfactory job.
At the symposium held in Nanjing on Wednesday, Hu Chunhua emphasized that opening up to the outside world is China's long-standing basic national policy. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the reform and opening up. The best commemoration of reform and opening up is to continuously deepen reform and opening up and open up the door on a wider scale.
