The mascot of Total Badminton World Championship was officially announced in Nanjing On April 21. With a badminton-shaped head, Yu Bao holds a racket, looking cute. The design of the mascot vividly depicts the scenario when a player is in a heated match. The plum blossom-shaped gold medal on the chest of Yu Bao feels like saying there will be a fierce competition going on in Nanjing which will bring a great feast to the world. The two main colors of yellow and blue represent the speed and competitive charm of badminton.
One of the world's top badminton tournaments, the 2018 Total World Badminton Championship will be held from July 30 to August 5 at Qing’ao Sports Park in Nanjing. This is another major international event after the 2014 Youth Olympic Games and the 2017 World All Event Roller Skating Championship hosted in Nanjing.
