Lou Qinjian, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and the leader of the Provincial National Security Leading Group, on Wednesday morning went on an inspection tour to the National Security Education Exhibition in Jiangsu Province.
Lou Qinjian stressed that we must act in accordance with the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics to study and understand General Secretary Xi Jinping’s series of important speeches on national security so as to implement the overall national security concept, strive to create a new era of national security work, and provide reliable security for the promotion of high-quality development and construction of new Jiangsu.
The National Security Education Exhibition in Jiangsu Province, held at the Jiangsu Museum of Art Gallery, focuses on the security risks China currently faces in many areas and showcases the province’s achievements in the field of national security through the display of hundreds of pictures and informative materials.
Lou said that General Secretary Xi Jinping’s series of important speeches on national security, especially at the first meeting of the National Security Committee of the 19th CPC Central Committee, which has provided an important basis for us to do a good job in national security in the new era.
We must correctly grasp the current national security situation in accordance with the requirements of the Central Government's deployment, take the overall national security concept as the guideline, persist in coordinated development and national security, and uphold the organic unity of people's safety, political security, and national interests, and strengthen national security work, said the CPC provincial chief.
The CPC Provincial chief urged the province to strengthen and identify new features and changes in the security situation resulting from the development of new technologies under the conditions of the Internet, which is destined to bring new challenges to national security, by adhering to systematic thinking, using new scientific and technological means, and improving the ability to prevent and respond to various risks.
Lou Qinjian demanded that we must grasp national security in the overall situation of the socialist cause with Chinese characteristics through scientific coordination and cooperation and work together to promote national security in all fields because national security concerns personal well-being, social progress and national rejuvenation, adding that with national security and social stability, people will be able to live and work in peace and happiness.
On July 1 of 2015, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress passed the National Security Law, declaring April 15 a day for raising awareness of national security among the public.
