The Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference paid a tribute to Zhou Enlai Memorial Hall on Thursday. A symposium in honor of Zhou’s 120th birthday was held concurrently. Huang Lixin, chairwoman of the Provincial CPPCC was present on both activities.
Huang Lixin said in her speech that General Secretary Xi Jinping summed up Zhou Enlai's lofty spirit as six outstanding models at a symposium held by the Communist Party of China Central Committee early March in Beijing to commemorate the 120th birthday of late Premier Zhou Enlai.
Lou Qinjian, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, pointed out at the provincial commemorative forum that learning Zhou Enlai’s spirit is to learn from his lofty and firm ideals and beliefs, unlimited loyal political qualities, public servants’ feelings for the people, and the noble sentiments of practical and pragmatic work style, honesty and integrity.
Huang Lixin emphasized that we must draw rich nourishment and powerful force from Premier Zhou and strive to create a new situation in the work of the CPPCC so as to ensure that the province’s high quality development rank among the best in the province.
At the symposium held by the CPC Central Committee early March in Beijing to commemorate the 120th birthday of late Premier Zhou Enlai, General Secretary Xi praise Zhou’s great contribution and lofty spirit which has been enshrined in the hearts of the Chinese people and those around the world who pursue peace and justice.
Zhou's noble character and great manner have inspired and nurtured CPC members generation after generation, Xi said.
Xi reiterated that Zhou was an outstanding role model who remained true to the original aspiration and kept the faith.
