Lou Qinjian, secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, made an inspection tour in Changzhou city Wednesday and Thursday, demanding that the spirit of the important instructions made by General Secretary Xi Jinping should be promoted by emancipating the mind, expand opening-up, strengthening problem-oriented approach, making up for the shortcomings, promoting high-quality development so as to give full play to the cities’ advantages and ensure that it ranks among the best in the province.
When visiting the Jiangsu Zhongguancun Science and Technology Industrial Park, Lou Qinjian made inquiry into the development of emerging industries such as new energy batteries and inspected the assembly lines of Jiangsu Ankura Smart Transmission Engineering Technology Co. where he spoke highly of the company’s successful breakthrough of long-term monopoly of foreign products through R&D and encouragement and encouraged the industrial park to promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional manufacturing industries through continuous innovative efforts.
During his inspection in Zhuolang Changzhou Textile Machinery Co., Ltd. and EMAG China Machinery Co., Ltd., Lou showed great satisfaction when he was informed of the private enterprise’s technological leap through international mergers and acquisitions and encouraged them to seize the opportunity to integrate into the Belt and Road development scheme so as to become an industrial leader in the global allocation of resources and help more manufacturing companies make global presence.
The CPC Provincial chief visited the Graphene Science and Technology Industrial Park where he chatted with the innovation team and hoped that the company will continue tracking international cutting-edge technologies in competitive fields such as graphene and take advantage of the large number of universities in the province to strengthen basic research and discipline construction.
In Trina Solar Energy Co., Ltd., Lou Qinjian hoped that the company will demonstrate more successful technologies in the field of energy Internet of Things and make greater contributions to green development.
Lou paid a visit to the Changzhou Modern Agricultural Ecological Park where he was pleased to see that the formerly barren mountains have been turned into tea plantations to enrich the farmers and encouraged the money-making leaders to increase farmers' income by expanding tea derivative products and developing rural tourism.
Before finishing the inspection tour, the CPC provincial chief was briefed on the recent social and economic development in Changzhou.
