The 2018 Nanjing Book Fair and Spring Collection Book National Fair went underway at the Nanjing International Exhibition Center. More than 330,000 new books were displayed, attracting tens of thousands of people to share a cultural feast.
With the theme of reading for a better life, the 2018 Nanjing Book Fair set up 11 special exhibition areas, including group images for brick and mortar bookstores and digital reading.
At the opening ceremony, Zhang Jinghua, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Party Secretary of Nanjing Municipal Committee, Sun Xiaoyun, a famous calligrapher and Xu Chuan, a teacher of the history of CPC, recommended their favorite books and jointly launched the City of Love public good activity.
A large number of ancient and old books made their debut at the National Book Fair, including the six volumes of the earliest printed spectrum that dates back to 400 years ago.
Avanade Bookstore, Dazhong Bookstore and some other bookstores launched their miniatures at the book fair. More than a dozen famous authors such as Ye Zhaoyan and Bi Feiyu will meet the readers. The visitors can also get close contact with cultural relics, engraved prints, hands-on activities, and bring home a printed book page done on their own.
