The 2018 projects of Jiangsu Provincial Natural Science Foundation were released to the public on March 20th. All qualified talents from universities and research institutions were welcomed to hand in their applications.
It is understood that the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province is a special fund for science and technology established by the provincial government. The foundation is mainly used to finance basic research in the field of natural science. The 2018 Provincial Basic Research Plan (Provincial Natural Science Foundation) can be divided into two types of programs: programs of innovation of young scientific and technological talents and general programs.
The programs of innovation of young science and technology talents can be further divided into three levels: provincial youth fund project (outstanding), provincial youth fund project (excellent) and provincial youth fund project (general). The fund for each level shall not exceed 1 million yuan, 500, 000 yuan and 200, 000 yuan respectively. General programs are primarily aimed at obtaining the results of basic research and innovation, focusing on interdisciplinary integration, stimulating original innovation and upgrading the overall level of basic research in Jiangsu province. For general programs, the fund for each project shall not exceed 100,000 yuan.
