A press conference on improving capability to guarantee and enhance wellbeing of the people was held on the sidelines of the first session of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference or CPPCC in Beijing on Friday.
Members of the 13th National Committee of the CPPCC Huang Runqiu, Liu Limin, Xu Jiayin, Liu Yucun and Liu Qiangdong took questions separately.
Concerning the issue of environmental governance and the suggestions for ensuring the sustainability of the blue sky, Huang Runqiu, deputy minister of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, replied that China's air pollution control work still has a long way to go. The key in the next step for air pollution control is to adjust and optimize the three structures.
With regard to increasing resource supply and providing pre-school education for people’s well-being, Liu Limin, former Deputy Minister of Education, and the Chief Inspector, said expanding resources, increasing generality, strengthening supervision, and improving quality are the key to solving the problems.
Concerning the role of e-commerce in the improvement of farmers’ income and the fight against poverty, Liu Qiangdong, chairman and chief executive officer of Jingdong Group, said that poverty alleviation needs to form a long-term mechanism to help more impoverished areas create more quality poverty alleviation brands.
