Feb 1st is the day that kicks off the Spring Festival travel rush. On this very occasion, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Public Security, the State Administration of Work Safety, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League have jointly launched the 2018 “Love for Travel” in Nanjing.Reporters were told that during this year’s travel season, 112.9 million long-distance passengers are supposed to have their trips, and daily train departures will reach more than 30,000 times.

Travel season begins, lasting 40 days
Lasting 40 days from February 1 to March 12, this year's Spring Festival travel will see 2.98 billion people take to the roads for family reunions. The passenger flow is supposed to be relatively stable before the festival; but after the festival, a peak flow is expected due to returning students, workers, family visits and tourists. Transport departments will face greater challenges then.
Over 100 million people expected to hit the road
During this year’s Spring Festival travel, 112.9 million passengers are expected to make long-distance travels from Jiangsu. The province will arrange 33,800 coaches with 1.44 million customer units, and more than 30,000 shifts on a daily basis, providing sufficient backup and support. Mobile phone APP like "bus steward", WeChat small procedures, proxy online tickets shopping and other ways to purchase tickets will make it more convenient for passengers to book tickets.
Meanwhile, during this year's travel period, Jiangsu will launch "Internet customized passenger transport" services mobilizing 157 routes and 665 vehicles; and will meanwhile mobilize 159 routes and more than 1,260 vehicles to answer to requirements of "Smooth Travel in Jiangsu". With these operations, passengers are assured to have easier and safer travels.
