The 34th session of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress concluded Wednesday afternoon in Nanjing after completing its entire agenda.
Shi Heping, executive vice chairman of the the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, presided over the closing ceremony.
The session approved in an open vote the revised draft of "Jiangsu Development Zone Regulations", the revised draft of the regulations on the administration of broadcasting and television in Jiangsu Province, the revised draft of Surveying and Mapping Geographic Information Regulations, and the revised draft of Jiangsu Taihu Lake Water Pollution Control Regulations.
The session also approved 5 municipal regulations and amendments submitted by the standing Committees of the People's Congress in Suzhou, Nantong, Huai'an, Yancheng and Taizhou.
The session voted through the Work Report of the Standing Committee of Jiangsu Provincial People's Congress, the report on the credentials of the 13th session of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Congress, the name list for the presidium and secretary-general of the 13th session of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Congress and the name list for the national economic and social development plan and budget review committee of the provincial legislature.
In an open vote, Guo Yuanqiang was appointed vice governor of Jiangsu. Xia Daohu was appointed acting president of the provincial court.
The meeting fully affirmed the effectiveness of the provincial government and relevant departments in the rectification of audit problems, hoping that the provincial government would further strengthen the leadership of the audit work and enhance the rectification of the problems found during the audit.
