The 34th plenary session of the 12th provincial people’s congress went underway Tuesday morning in Nanjing. The meeting was presided over by Shi Heping, executive vice chairman of the standing committee of the provincial people’s congress.
The agenda and schedule of the session was approved before Lyu Zhenling, secretary-general of the standing committee of the provincial people’s congress, made some explanations on the arrangement.
The provincial government and provincial Court submitted the appointment and removal of personnel to this meeting.
The legal affairs committee submitted to the meeting the revised draft of "Jiangsu Development Zone Regulations", the revised draft of the regulations on the administration of broadcasting and television in Jiangsu Province, the revised draft of Surveying and Mapping Geographic Information Regulations, and the revised draft of Jiangsu Taihu Lake Water Pollution Control Regulations.
The meeting was briefed by Gu Shusheng, director of the provincial Audit Office, on the province’s budget implementation and other financial revenue and expenditure audit in 2016.
The Standing Committee of the People's Congress in Suzhou, Nantong, Huai'an, Yancheng and Taizhou submitted 4 municipal regulations and amendments to be revised or abolished for review and approval by the provincial legislature.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Standing Committee reviewed the relevant laws and regulations and the appointment and removal of personnel.
