A company in Suzhou new and high-tech zone has developed a small EOD robot and successfully conducted live-fire tests.
Called scavenger, the EOD robot looks like a toy car. In fact it is an intelligent EOD robot, mainly used in urban counter-terrorism operations to replace the SWT officers in the disposal of small explosives.
The intelligent robot can carry water cannon and guided by laser 20 meters away to gain fast and autonomous proximity to the explosive and enable on-site dismantling of the explosives.
Scavenger has been used by the Chinese People's Armed Police in its first ever live test, indicating that it really has the basic combat capabilities to fulfill anti-terrorism tasks and filled in the gap in the miniaturization of intelligent explosive weapons.
