The award ceremony for the Third Wuxi Cultural Innovation Design Contest was held in Wuxi, Jiangsu province on Jan 4.
The contest consists of three sub contests, including a creative design contest of cultural products, a communication design contest for public benefits, and an architectural and environmental design contest.
Over 1,200 design works have been received since the contest was launched in May last year and eventually, five of them won the gold award, 10 of them won the silver award, 19 of them won the bronze award and there were also several excellence awards given out.
In order to better market these cultural products, part of the outstanding entries were displayed at the Seventh Wuxi Culture Art Industry Expo held from Oct 12 to 16 of last year, and many of them were quite popular among participants and enjoyed good sales volume.
With the help of the expo, the organizing committee of the contest intends to promote these cultural products and help their designers seek cooperation with local enterprises.
The cultural innovation design contest has been held in Wuxi since 2015, aiming to gather local creative resources, improve their design levels, and publicize outstanding cultural products so as to advance the development of Wuxi's cultural creative industry.
