Since the start of this year, Jiangsu has taken necessary measures to promote streamlining administration and delegating power to lower-level governments and optimizing administrative services, as is evidenced by the popularity of the online process of administrative approval.
Authorities in Xiangcheng district of Suzhou city have sorted out 840 administrative approval items to be handled at the administrative service hall by 29 competent departments, enabling the applicants to gain access to online submission, online synchronized approval, information sharing, and credit review and supervision.
The city of Suqian has reformed the formalities for real estate registration by streamlining the administration process. In the past, the applicants had to travel between different governmental departments to sign contracts and pay the deeds before submitting all the materials to the real estate registration with the service windows to wait for their turn. The formalities were cumbersome and time-consuming. The unified approval by different departments has helped the applicants to avoid the troublesome process and get the application approved in the shortest possible time.
In the meantime, governments at the regional levels have carried out inspections on environmental protection. The law enforcement agencies in Jurong launched a crack-down on the illegal quarry mines that have failed to abide by the regulations. The joint task force has so far shut down more than 20 enterprises that had endangered the local environment.
The public transport company in Siyang County put into operation on Tuesday 103 pure electric buses in a bid to help protect the environment.
The bus company is also planning to roll out Wechat and Alipay payment to benefit the passengers.
