The 7th Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award, China’s top AI award, was unveiled Saturday in Suzhou Industrial Park. 44 projects were given varied prizes after a strict process of evaluation. 296 projects were submitted for the final selection. The Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award has played an active role in promoting the innovation and development of the field of intelligent science and technology in China. Since the start of this year, Suzhou Industrial Park has taken the lead in the layout of artificial intelligence industry by creating artificial intelligence innovation center at the national and even the world levels. At present, the park is home to more than 500 enterprises in artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing and other related fields with a workforce of more than 20,000 people. The artificial intelligence industry, supported by big data and cloud computing, is expected to turn out 50 billion Yuan of output value this year, an increase of 43% per cent year on year.
