Vice Governor Chen Zhenning met on Thursday in Nanjing with Paul Makonda, regional commissioner for Dar es Salaam Province of Tanzania.
Chen said Jiangsu lies as the eastern coastal areas of the country and is one of the regions with strong comprehensive strength, high level openness and great potential for development.
Jiangsu attaches great importance to the development of friendly and cooperative relations with Dar es Salaam province, adding that there is a large space for economic and trade cooperation between them, the vice governor said.
Chen hoped both sides would maintain high-level exchanges for the joint implementation of cooperation and exchange programs, docking of project information and promotion of pragmatic cooperation in various fields.
Jiangsu will also encourage local enterprises to launch investment and business endeavors in Dar es Salaam for the promotion of production capacity cooperation.
Paul Makonda said China’s Belt and Road Initiative has opened up a new chapter for the friendly cooperation between, adding that Dar es Salaam Province hopes to draw on Jiangsu's development experience and forge partnership in industrial park development for the settlement of Jiangsu enterprises for mutual benefit.
