2017 China Time-honored Brand Innovation and Development Summit was hosted in Nanjing from Dec. 8 to Dec. 10. The first of its kind, this summit attracted considerable attention from society and industry representatives.
Taking up an area of 15,000 square meters and participated by over 200 time-honored shop dealers from 17 provinces and areas, this summit was organized by Jiangsu Department of Commerce, Jiangsu Tourism Bureau, Jiangsu Sector of CCPIT, and other provincial units jointly.
Nanjing local brand Weigang Dairy, reputed Jiangsu Yanghe Brewery Joint-Stock Co., Ltd., prestigious Suzhou Songhelou, the very popular Jingjiang Roast Pork all had their own booths and showcased their series of products.
Based in Suzhou, Lao Wan Nian Gold and Silver Co. Ltd specializes in gold artwork and custom-made gifts. As a traditional brand, it’s found its position in the fierce market and remains competitive. Soho Silk is another time-honored brand. Dealing with silk products mainly like Cheongsam, it keeps trying different ways to get one share of the market. Though the primetime for Cheongsam is gone, it should be remembered and should thrive again. Therefore, a museum to display Cheongsam was established this May to help people appreciate its beauty.
China Time-honored Brand is a title granted by the Ministry of Commerce to Chinese enterprises that existed before 1956, which have distinct Chinese cultural characteristics and are widely recognized by society. There are currently around 1,000 brands granted this title.
